It is strongly recommended to book your accommodation well in advance
The range of hotels in Hamburg is large. If you search via the usual hotel booking portals, you will find a wide range of hotels, from inexpensive to 5-star hotels. Please book your accommodation in good time—currently, there is still a large selection for the conference days, but this can change quickly.
In some hotels close to the university, we have blocked a number of rooms that can be called in using a password. You will find more detailed information on the blocked rooms and how to call them in below. We have also listed a number of ways in which you can find inexpensive accommodation for the days of the conference—from Airbnb to private accommodation. Another option is the youth hostel (Jugendherberge) or you can find a student dorm room whose tenant would like to profit from the income from a short interim rental during the lecture-free period.
Call-in allocations
The procedure for booking one of the blocked rooms is as follows: You call the hotel or order by e-mail and refer to the call-in allocations reserved by us for the conference and provide the password. You will be booked as a self-payer at the hotel for the period of your choice and pay your invoice upon arrival. Most hotels expect you to secure your reservation by credit card. The conditions of the offers are listed below. Should you require a different period than the one specified in our reservation contract, please ask the hotel to extend the period at the same conditions—this should be generally possible.
